Rooibos Tea: The Herbal Infusion That's Taking Over the World. Rooibos tea is a popular beverage originating from South Africa and is made from the Aspalathus linearis shrub. Unlike traditional tea, which comes from the camellia sinensis plant, rooibos tea is a herbal infusion that is dried and fermented to create a nutritious and flavourful drink.
